The incredibly high mood from Leeds United’s win against Wolves was dampened somewhat as Jayden Bogle limped off late on with a foot injury.

United’s seven-point haul from their first five games sees them sitting relatively comfortably in the Premier League so far.

Attention now turns to a return to Elland Road, where Leeds face a tough test against Andoni Iraola’s Bournemouth.

Leeds United injury update: Daniel Farke provides latest on Jayden Bogle

Leeds were fairly comfortable in their task of seeing out a 3-1 win in the second half, sitting deep but soaking up pressure well.

As the game headed into the closing stages, Jayden Bogle was forced off with a foot injury, having teed up Leeds’ equaliser for Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Bogle was left stricken as he jumped to contest a header in Leeds’ box, only for an opposition player to land on his foot. As a result, his injury prompted a sub as James Justin replaced the right-back for the closing stages.

The 25-year-old was then made to limp around the pitch with his boot off, clearly in distress after a nasty setback.

Post-match, Farke provided this update about Bogle’s injury:

“We have to assess him,” Farke said, via the YEP. “It’s pretty swollen. We will have to assess him.”

Bogle taking his boot off right away and hobbling around the pitch was a really worrying sight. Him being out would be a massive blow.

Justin would be a solid backup, though. However, the quality that Bogle brings Leeds on the ball as well as how he’s fared defensively is something we really could do with.

Bournemouth up next is a really difficult game for us. If we’re not fully at the races, it’s hard to expect much. Therefore, Bogle being out would weaken us significantly.
