Man to appear in court after rape charge

A man is to appear in court after a reported rape in Sheffield in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Ansar Younis, 41, of Hatherley Road in Sheffield has been charged with rape of a woman over 16 years of age.

The incident is reported to have occurred near Mulberry Street in the city centre.

Mr Younis has been remanded in police custody and will appear before Sheffield Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
