Customers are preparing for a surge of closures, as several major banks have announced plans to shut dozens of branches in the coming weeks. Financial giants such as Lloyds, Halifax and NatWest are set to phase out in-person services across numerous high streets, with 11 closures scheduled for this week alone.

Between now and the end of 2026 there are four planned closures in the Bristol region – which include Lloyds, NatWest and Halifax.

Many banks have explained these closures by citing the rise of online and mobile banking apps. Nevertheless, numerous customers and small businesses continue to rely on their local branches for daily requirements.

Below, we’ve listed the upcoming bank closures, as originally reported by the Mirror.
