Vladimir Putin has been warned that he would be committing a “terrible sin” by NOT using nuclear weapons in Europe. The astonishing claims were made by Sergei Karaganov, 73, aka Professor Doomsday, honorary chairman of the Russian Council for Foreign and Defence Policy, who claimed that unleashing tactical atomic weapons is the only way to prevent a larger war between the US and Russia.

He becomes the latest Putin acolyte and Kremlin commentator to advocate for a nuclear escalation to the conflict in Ukraine and the stand-off with Nato. The comments come after an apparent change of stance from US President Donald Trump who has indicated that Ukraine could feasibly retake all of its territory lost to Putin’s forces. Karaganov said: “The use of nuclear weapons, in extreme cases, in the most dreadful case, is a terrible sin.

“But not using them and condemning your people and the world to a major war is an even greater sin.

“That is an even more terrible sin.”

Speaking on Russian state TV, the Russian political scientist reiterated Russian propaganda which often refers to a perceived threat coming from the country’s western border with Nato members.

He added: “We must abandon some of the foolish ideas devised by our predecessors who still say that a nuclear war shouldn’t happen and that it can never be won.

“This is absolute nonsense. A nuclear war can be won, God forbid it happens.”

“We must first break the will of the European elites. What I call breaking the back of Europe, in the hope that….normal, healthy forces can rise again in Europe….

“I fear that if we are not prepared to use the most decisive measures, the most terrible weapons.

“And do not abandon the complacent notion that a nuclear war cannot be won, we could find ourselves in a very long, attritional war with this still-rich Europe.

“And ultimately, God forbid, exhaust our people. And most importantly, we could allow this war to spread to all of humanity.

“This European contagion must be eradicated.”

“We need to prepare to strike, or at least make them understand that we are ready.

“It won’t necessarily be a nuclear strike….but we must prepare.

Prominent TV propagandist Vladimir Solovyov – who advocates nuclear strikes – smirked and laughed as he called on his nightly TV show for Oxford and Cambridge to be bombed to decimate the British elite and their universities.

Solovyov used Kremlin-funded state TV to attack Britain’s ruling elite, claiming that the “idiots” in the government and the royal family were not really in charge, but rather a shadowy Establishment.

He asked: “Who really governs Great Britain?

“Seriously speaking, we’ve never analysed this issue….

“We can’t seriously think that the bunch of idiots who actually hold power there, pretending to be prime ministers, are actually in charge.

“We understand perfectly well that the royal family shouldn’t be allowed within cannon shot of feeding the birds.”
