Prince Harry made a covert visit to London during his brief four-day stay in the UK earlier this month. The Duke of Sussex paid a visit to an exhibition by photographer Misan Harriman, a close friend of Meghan Markle‘s, in a trip that slipped under the media radar.
Harriman, a British photographer of Nigerian descent, has captured many significant moments for Meghan’s family, including her 2021 pregnancy announcement and Princess Lilibet’s first birthday portrait in 2022. The Duke was welcomed to Harriman’s exhibition, titled “The Purpose of Light,” at Hope 93 in Fitzrovia, London.
In photos from the visit, Harry can be seen appreciating the work of his and Meghan’s friend while touring the gallery with its founder, Aki Abiola. The news comes as Prince Harry’s plot to rebuild his life in Britain as ‘half in, half out’ dream ruled out.
Although the images are black and white, it appears that Harry is wearing an outfit similar to the one he donned on September 9 during a midday visit to Nottingham.
The photos shared by Harriman are captioned: “Thank you for visiting my exhibition, Prince Harry. It was wonderful to show you my work and discuss the incredible space Aki has created for artists in the gallery. Art is important, especially now.”
Harriman even made an appearance in Harry and Meghan’s explosive Netflix docuseries, where he commented on his work, saying: “My images of them do all the talking.”
He further stated: “Portraiture for me, whether it is royalty or whether I’m in the tip of the spear in any of the civil rights movements that I care deeply about, is looking for truth.
“That’s fundamentally what my lens is there, to capture the human condition in full fidelity.
“Whether it’s beautiful children and the great love and fortitude of this couple, or whether it is when the world decided to refuse to look away from what happened to George Floyd, whether it’s climate action, the gay and trans community is hugely important for me – my lens is always at their disposal, always will be.”
