Alarming footage has captured the moment a man dressed in black attempts to open the door of a van on a residential Scots street.
The incident was caught by a resident’s CCTV camera on Laburnum Place, Midlothian, at 2.20am on Thursday September 25.
In the video, a man can be seen skulking around in the dark before trying to enter the back of a white van – having previously attempted to open the side door of the same vehicle.
Locals in the area have reported several vehicles being broken into, Edinburgh Live reports, with some tradesman reporting having tools taken from their vans.
The clip also shows a man dressed in all black cycling away from the scene after targeting the Laburnum Place van.
Police Scotland have been approached for comment.
