Prince William and King Charles reportedly spent some quality time together this week at Balmoral Castle. The Prince of Wales, 43, was spotted arriving at Aberdeen airport on Tuesday following a joint engagement in Southport with his wife, Princess Kate.
He is thought to have been transported from the airport to Balmoral Castle, where his father, King Charles, 76, is residing until the end of September. Although William’s visit to Balmoral hasn’t been officially announced, it’s widely known that the heir to the throne visits the Scottish castle annually to spend time with his father, a tradition since Charles ascended to the throne in 2022.
The father-son duo are believed to have spent several days together, discussing Royal duties and other topics.
As reported by The Telegraph and other outlets, this mini-break serves as an opportunity for the two to discuss important matters.
This marks William’s second trip to Balmoral in recent months, having previously visited over the summer holidays with the extended Royal Family, reports the Express.
Despite resuming Royal duties following the summer break, the King is expected to remain at Balmoral until month’s end.
The King and Prince William are anticipated to keep details of their brief reunion private, a meeting that occurred just weeks after the King saw his other son, Prince Harry, 41, for the first time in over a year.
Prince William, who did not attend this gathering, reportedly has no desire to reconnect with his estranged brother, who stepped away from Royal duties in 2020 and has since voiced criticism of the Royal Family.
