Series 22 of the long-running programme, which sees entrepreneurs try to convince a line-up of millionaires to invest in their businesses, is due to restart on Thursday, October 2.

This comes after multiple breaks to the 14-episode series, which first began in February.

PA has reported that entrepreneurs from Swindon will be among those to feature in the newest batch of episodes, starting on October 2.

The identities of the Swindon contestants have not yet been revealed.

A synopsis published by PA said: “They include a Welsh ranger who delivers a prehistoric pitch for educational dinosaurs, and business partners from Swindon who are hoping for a flavourful investment in their nutritional yeast company.

“Meanwhile, an outdoor fitness venture flexes for funds and two sisters from London are selling an app to empower women returning to work.”

The new series has featured The Body Coach Joe Wicks as a celebrity guest Dragon alongside Peter Jones, Deborah Meaden, Sara Davies, Steven Bartlett and Touker Suleyman.

Other guest judges to have appeared alongside the five usual Dragons during the season are beauty mogul Trinny Woodall and fashion tycoon Emma Grede.
