Marcus Rashford has been supported by a number of former Manchester United team-mates after providing yet another assist for Barcelona during their 2-1 win against Real Sociedad.
Rashford, 27, endured a slow start to life at the Catalan side following his season-long loan move from United in the summer, but he has hit form since the turn of the September international break. Indeed, Rashford has registered either a goal or an assist in each of his last five appearances for Barcelona.
The England international scored his first and second goal for Barca against Newcastle United in the Champions League earlier this month, while he has grabbed one assist in his last four La Liga matches.
On Sunday, Rashford crossed for Jules Kounde to head in Barcelona’s equaliser as Hansi Flick’s side came from behind to beat Sociedad with Robert Lewandowski scoring a second-half winner.
After the game, Rashford took to Instagram and sent a six-word message to the Barca fans. Alongside four images of him in action against Sociedad, he said: “Huge 3 points! Let’s keep pushing [folded hands emoji].”
In response to Rashford’s post, Tyrell Malacia, Joshua Zirkzee, Lisandro Martinez, Phil Jones, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Donny van de Beek and David De Gea were among his ex-United teammates to drop a like.

Barcelona left-back Alejandro Balde, meanwhile, replied with two fire emojis.
Speaking after his side’s seventh win in eight matches this season, Flick said: “We found it very difficult, but we also deserve this win. I really appreciate how my team is playing, how they perform.
“It doesn’t matter if we change the starting XI a bit, because they all give their all and I love that. I am very proud. It’s incredible. I am very happy for them and for the fans.”
Rashford is hitting form at the right time for Barca ahead of their blockbuster Champions League clash against Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday. They then face Sevilla before the October international break.
After that, Rashford is expected to team up with the England national team for a game against Wales and a World Cup qualifier away at Latvia. He scored in his last appearance for Thomas Tuchel’s side in the 5-0 win in Serbia.
