Brewski said it “cannot wait” to open in the city this festive season
Manchester’s Brewski Bar with chef Eduardo De Pena
A renowned restaurant with thousands of followers to its name has announced its first venture into the city. Best known for its North American comfort food, Brewski already has establishments in Manchester, Sheffield and Chester.
However, the company is now making its way to Liverpool, just in time for Christmas. The iconic brand will be found in Liverpool ONE, where guests can order its huge meat platters, side plates and various desserts.
The new Liverpool restaurant will boast 5,000 sqft of space and 80 outdoor covers. Brewski was founded by James Daly and Steven Stockton-King, the same two who are also behind American Pies and BIG TRAY BBQ.
Announcing the news on social media to its 166,000 followers, the team said: “People of Liverpool, Brewski will be opening in a fantastic unit in the heart of @liverpool_oneofficial this December and we cannot wait.

“We absolutely cannot wait to serve up the best North American cuisine has to offer in the form of giant sharing platters, starting with our festive menu. Keep your eyes open for launch week and competition details.”
It comes just weeks after a popular Caribbean restaurant loved by celebrities announced it was also preparing to open in Liverpool city centre. Jerk Junction will be the latest company to land in Liverpool ONE in what has been a massive year for high-name brands entering the complex.

Jerk Junction, which was founded by Jake Shaffi in Manchester, has secured the former Gourmet Burger Kitchen site near Chavasse Park. This will be the company’s fourth site as part of “a mission to make authentic Jamaican food more accessible in the UK”.
Jerk Junction previously won The Manc Eats Takeaway Champion award, receiving thousands of votes from all over the region. The Caribbean restaurant has racked up a celebrity following including sports pundit Ian Wright, television star Kai Fegan and musician Loyle Carner.

The menu features jerk chicken, curried goat and lentil stew – all served with rice and peas and prepared with traditional spices – and claims to offer “the best Caribbean food outside of the island”.
The company’s ethos statement reads: “At Jerk Junction, everyone is family. That starts with the people in our kitchen, the team who makes the magic happen.
“But it includes every customer who walks through our door, and the community we live in. We’re proud to be Jamaican and proud to support our local people.”
Boarding has gone up in the Liverpool sites windows as renovations take place inside. An opening date is yet to be confirmed.
