A new Brazilian restaurant is preparing to open in the heart of the city this month. More than £350,000 has been spent on bringing Coco Brazil Rodizio Bar & Grill’s vision to life on Bold Street.

Found in the former Ellis Brigham mountain clothing store, the restaurant is set to open on Tuesday, October 7. The restaurant hopes to bring with it huge hype to what is arguably Liverpool’s most busiest street. Those behind the venue have boldly claimed it is going to quickly become a go-to place for many.

A spokesperson told the ECHO: “It’s going to be vibrant and alive and fresh. With events and live music nights it will become the restaurant people will go to not just to eat, but to mingle and dance, and have an amazing time.

“It’s going to bring a bigger buzz than ever to Bold Street – and the dazzling interior we’ve created will be the perfect go-to for all those selfies and social media posts.”

The building has been transformed over the last six months to create what is now a restaurant across two floors, each complete with its own experience.

A bold modern interior will feature dramatic statement pieces like greenery walls – one featuring a dynamic facial sculpture – and a huge glass chandelier, along with rich colours of warm copper with wood accents that aims to create a vibrant Brazilian-inspired energy.

There’s also a staircase leading to a new mezzanine level that will greet customers the minute they walk in. The restaurant will have capacity for 110 diners.

On the ground floor will be a lively Rodízio service, where cuts of meat keep coming to the table, and on the upper floor, an à la carte restaurant with seafood, lighter dishes, and vegetarian options for guests who want something beyond red meat.

Latin American music will fill the restaurant, and there are plans to hold live music events and stage salsa evenings to enhance the Brazilian vibe.

The spokesperson added: “There will be freshly prepared sides, and indulgent desserts that create memorable finishing touches, and Coco Brazil signature drinks and house cocktails served in unique vessels, like our signature coconut mug.

“It’s that attention to detail that will set us apart: from the interior design to the food presentation, every element has been thought through to create a refined yet welcoming brand.

“Bold Street is becoming the place to eat in Liverpool, and Coco Brazil Rodizio Bar & Grill will be one of the most happening places on it.

“Coco Brazil is not just another Rodízio — it’s an elevated version of the traditional concept, and it’s a destination. It’s modern, vibrant, and authentic, and it’s designed to give Liverpool a taste of Brazil in a new luxury way. We are so excited to bring such an incredible restaurant to the city. It’s going to be spectacular.”

A number of rodizio restaurants enjoy a thriving business in Liverpool, including Fazenda in Exchange Flags, Fogo Brazil on Bold Street, Copacabana in Queen Square, and Bem Brasil on Hanover Street.
