Lambourn might be a little quiet this weekend as several of the village’s trainers go in search of international riches.
After achieving success at big meetings such as Royal Ascot and York’s Ebor festival in the summer, a small but select squad will be making their way south and across the Channel to the banks of the Seine in Paris for Arc weekend at Longchamp, with Ed Walker, Clive Cox and Jonny Portman all getting in on the Group 1 action.
Charlie Hills, though, turns his attention westwards on Saturday when veteran Khaadem lines up in the Grade 2 Woodford Stakes at Keeneland.
