An ice skating rink has confirmed its return to Liverpool for this festival season. IceBox will be back in the Baltic Triangle in around a month’s time, with the team behind it promising it will be “bigger and better” than last year.
With a rink that can accommodate 30% more skaters, and a festive village being created that’ll be packed with street food including Christmas specials and seasonal drinks, IceBox is wanting to be an “enchanting activity” for all ages.
Guests can expect Santa’s Grotto, the chance to toast marshmallows around the fire and a events calendar filled with a variety of festivities throughout November and December. The IceBox will officially open on Friday, November 17.
Joel Lee, general manager at Boxpark Liverpool, the team behind it, said: “We’re so excited that Icebox is returning this Christmas season after its amazing success last year.

“For 2025, guests will see Icebox’s offering elevated further with a larger ice rink to accommodate more skaters, as well as the introduction of outdoor street food and a jam packed events calendar to get everyone into the festive spirit.
“Tickets will be going on sale very soon so if you want to be the first to book, sign up to our newsletter where you’ll receive a direct link. We look forward to welcoming you, your family, friends and colleagues this winter.”
First opening ahead of the 2024 festive season, Icebox was a sell out, welcoming thousands of skaters to enjoy the Christmas period with friends, family and colleagues.
With tickets going live from Monday, October 13, BoxPark Liverpool expects even more interest this year with a bigger ice rink.

In line with its Eat, Drink, Play ethos, the venue’s weekly events will be given a festive twist with Christmas film screenings, character appearances and late night DJ sessions.
The news comes after BoxPark played host to a secret DJ set by MK. Huge crowds gathered in Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle because of the event.
The American DJ and producer, whose real name is Marc Kinchen, was in the city to promote his new single Come Find Me. Known for hits like 17, Piece of Me, My Head is a Jungle, Dior, Rhyme Dust, and Chemical, MK’s announcement created significant buzz among Liverpool’s music lovers.
Fans were invited to pre-save the new track, after which they received a text message on Friday, September 26, revealing the secret location of the event. The venue details were unveiled at 5.45pm, leaving fans just 15 minutes to make their way to the site.
