“I know that Prince Harry really felt constrained and he desperately wants little Archie to grow up away from all the pomp and royalty, I know that,” Jane Goodall said on Radio 4’s Today program.
Harry and Meghan Markle relocated to California in 2020 after stepping down from their senior royal roles.

Following the activist’s passing, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle honored Jane Goodall’s legacy in a statement.
“Dr. Jane Goodall DBE was a visionary humanitarian, scientist, friend to the planet, and friend to us,” the Sussexes said. “Her commitment to changing lives extends beyond what the world saw, and also to what we personally felt.”

“She held our son, Archie, when he was first born, and showered love and care to those who were privileged to know her,” Prince Harry and Meghan Markle continued. “She will be deeply missed.”
