The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for wind, with gusts expected to cause disruption throughout today (October 4).
The warning means there could be delays on trains and buses, and drivers of high-sided vehicles are being told to take care when crossing bridges in the capital.
There is also a risk of some short-term power cuts and minor damage, with winds gradually easing later this evening.
