Award-winning actress and recording artist Vanessa Williams will continue to hold court at London’s Dominion Theatre in the hit stage musical version of The Devil Wears Prada into 2026.
The star who first brought the ultimate high-fashion boss-from-hell Miranda Priestly to life when the musical made its debut in Plymouth last summer ahead of its West End debut last October, has extended her reign as the fashion queen until 18 April 2026. Olivier Award winner Matt Henry (Kinky Boots, The Drifters Girl) will also continue as Runway Magazine’s creative fashion director Nigel, alongside James Darch (Mamma Mia!, Novello Theatre, Wicked, Apollo Victoria) as devious writer Christian until the same date.
Now booking until 26 September 2026, the production is welcoming a number of new cast members led by Stevie Doc (winner of ITV’s Mamma Mia! I Have a Dream, WhatsOnStage Award nominee for Mamma Mia!, Novello Theatre) as eager but naive graduate Andy, Taila Halford (Shucked, Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre, School of Rock, Asia tour) as the icy and more worldly Emily and Keelan McAuley (Clueless, Trafalgar Theatre, Heathers, UK tour/UK tour/@sohoplace theatre) as Andy’s long-term boyfriend, Nate.
Newcomers will also include Alex Woodward (also playing Hot Nurse), Anta Bah, Dean Makowshi-Clayton, Georgia Aspinall, Harry Tunningley, Jenna Bonner, Joshua Robinson, Justin-Lee Jones, Kimberley Hoyle, Mark Lamb, Selina Hamilton and Xenoa Campbell-Ledgister.
They will join Gabby Antrobus, Selena Barron, Evonnee Bentley-Holder, Pamela Blair, Lloyd Davies, Jinny Gould, Luke Jackson, Emma Johnson, Debbie Kurup, Brandon Lee Sears, Nathan Lorainey-Dineen, Shannon Molloy, Eleanor Peach, Ethan Le Phong, Joshua Steel, Kayleigh Thadani and Tara Yasmin.
Featuring an original score by Olivier and Tony Award winner Elton John (Billy Elliot The Musical, The Lion King), lyrics by singer-songwriter Shaina Taub (Suffs) and a book by Kate Wetherhead (Ever After, Submissions Only), the musical version of Lauren Weisberger’s best-selling novel is directed and choreographed by triple Tony Award-winner Jerry Mitchell (La Cage aux Folles, Kinky Boots).
The high-powered creative team also includes set designer Tim Hatley (Life of Pi, Back to the Future), costume designer Gregg Barnes (Some Like It Hot, Legally Blonde), lighting designer Bruno Poet (Tina: The Tina Turner Musical, Frankenstein) and sound designer Gareth Owen (Come From Away, & Juliet) with casting by Jill Green.
Based on Weisberger’s 2003 book and the 2006 20th Century Fox film which starred Meryl Streep as the formidable Miranda Priestly, the musical previously played a development run in Chicago in 2022.
The Devil Wears Prada is produced by Tony Award winner Kevin McCollum (In the Heights, Avenue Q, Rent, Six and Mrs Doubtfire), Rocket Entertainment/David Furnish (Tammy Faye, Billy Elliot The Musical) and Jamie Wilson (Mrs Doubtfire, Ain’t Too Proud, Sister Act The Musical) and presented by special arrangement with Buena Vista Theatrical.
