Jake Arthur has delivered a 33-word message to Hull FC fans after landing in the U.K. The 22-year-old half-back is one of eight new signings made by the Black and Whites for the 2026 season with the Aussie putting pen to paper on a two-year deal at the club.
Arthur, at Hull until the end of the 2027 season at least, will report to pre-season training next month from the get-go, with the player already gearing up for his first season in the Black and White. He is expected to partner Aidan Sezer in the halves next year but will also be paired with young gun Callum Kemp for pre-season training, which begins on November 3.
The Australian half is the son of Leeds Rhinos head coach Brad Arthur and made his NRL debut under his father at Parramatta Eels, scoring a try in the 2022 Grand Final against Penrith Panthers. He’s also played for Manly Sea Eagles and Newcastle Knights and will test the waters in Super League with Hull next term.
Speaking in a video posted to Hull’s social media channels, Arthur said: “Hey guys, Jake Arthur here. Just arrived in the UK. Just getting sorted for pre-season now. I can’t wait to get stuck into it, meet all the boys, and get amongst the fans.”
Hull have also completed deals for Arthur Romano and Joe Phillips for next season, with Sam Lisone, Connor Bailey, Harvie Hill, James, and Joe Batchelor also signed up.
