It’s spooky season, and our supermarkets are already flooded with Halloween decor, this includes pumpkins of all shapes and sizes ready to be carved. In recent years the holiday has become extremely popular in the UK, following in the footsteps of our American counterparts.
Many farms across the nation have decided to embrace the autumnal occasion, and grow extensive pumpkin patches. The company Outdoor Toys have ranked their must-visit UK pumpkin patches for 2025, and one Welsh location has made the prestigious list.

Gower Fresh Christmas Trees in Swansea has ranked fifth among the UK’s best pumpkin patches to visit for 2025. It scored a 7.06, tying with Darts Farm in Devon, England and Charleton Fruit Farm in Angus, Scotland.
For the third year in a row, Doddington Hall in Lincolnshire has topped the list as the best pumpkin patch in the UK. It was awarded an overall score of 9.49 out of 10, and it supposedly the most popular patches online, appearing in 24,600 Instagram posts and nearly 246,700 Google searches in the last year.
The children’s toy company looked favourably on Gower Fresh’s free entry, which we recently reported on here.
They said that the farm, which is located at Poundffald Farm,Three Crosses in Swansea is “the perfect day out for a Halloween-themed adventure.”

Gower Fresh are mainly known for their traditional Christmas trees and their Rhossili sunflower fields, but they later broadened their farming efforts with their first-ever pick your own pumpkin event in 2018.
Since then, thousands off visitors have stopped by to get their festive fix, soaking in the atmosphere of pumpkin fields and gorgeous photo opportunities.
This year, they have kicked off their pumpkin picking season early. The farm is now open for visitors to pop down and pick their own pumpkins, with the event running until the end of the month (subject to availability).
The best part, is that this year it is free to enter as long as you purchase a pumpkin.
Robert Morgan, the farmer behind Gower Fresh has said: “We are well aware that you know people’s money and the spare change they got in their pockets or in the bank account isn’t as much as it was in years gone by, so we just want everyone to come out enjoy themselves have a great time.
“We will get busy and have some stressful moments when it gets very busy, but yeah we’ve coped in the past. So hopefully everyone will get out and about picking pumpkins and having a great day out at the farm really.”
