Racing and Wagering Western Australia (RWWA) has today agreed terms for Sports Entertainment Network (SEN) to acquire TABradio.

Subject to due diligence and expected to be completed in November 2025, the potential sale will provide unprecedented national exposure for WA racing, with SEN set to integrate TABradio into its national network.

SEN will showcase WA’s thoroughbred, harness and greyhound racing to a broader national audience, while ensuring the station remains a trusted voice in WA racing and sport.

RWWA Chief Executive Officer Ian Edwards said SEN’s potential acquisition of TABradio would significantly broaden the reach and profile of WA’s three racing codes.

“This partnership will take WA racing’s stories, personalities and events to a much larger stage, while preserving the strong local connection TABradio has built over many years,” he said.

“TABradio has long been a trusted voice for our industry, keeping participants and fans informed and engaged. This move strengthens the promotion of WA racing nationally, while ensuring our audiences here in WA continue to enjoy the quality coverage they value.”

SEN Chief Executive Officer Craig Hutchison said the broadcasting company was committed to building on TABradio’s success.

“We’re thrilled to partner with RWWA and bring Western Australian racing into the SEN audio and digital family,” Hutchison said.

“We are committed to growing WA racing nationally and look forward to partnering RWWA to engage the codes to broader and new audiences around Australia. This acquisition is another strong signal of our commitment to the racing industry and its passionate audience.”

SEN’s potential acquisition of TABradio is expected to be finalised during November.
