Purpose-driven micro agency, BrandXYZ, has been appointed by national facilities management business Thermatic Technical FM, following a competitive pitch process, to deliver a complete brand transformation, from strategic foundations through to market-facing campaigns.

The wide-ranging brief spans brand strategy, new identity design and rollout, website development, ongoing PR and comms support, and video content creation. The programme aims to raise awareness of the organisation’s already strong reputation and cement Thermatic as the facilities management sector’s leading challenger brand.

BrandXYZ will deliver the account through its ‘super agency’ model, leading a hand-picked collective of specialist Manchester-based partners: Kireli Studio (brand identity), Riot & Rebel (website), and Eight Engines (video), combining expertise across disciplines while retaining the agility and integration of a single agency.

Jo Taylor, founder and director of BrandXYZ, which celebrated its first birthday in September, said: “Facilities management is a sector ripe for disruption, and Thermatic’s leadership team is determined to challenge the status quo. The scope of this brief reflects the scale of their ambition: an end-to-end programme that unites strategy, identity, digital, content and communications into one coherent story. By assembling our ‘super agency’ of trusted partners, we can deliver transformational change at pace while holding ourselves to the highest creative standards.”

Thermatic Technical FM CEO, Paul Douglas-Fleet, added: “We didn’t just want another rebrand, we wanted a partner who could guide us through a full strategic transformation. BrandXYZ impressed us with their ability to look beneath the surface of our business, balancing commercial insight with creativity. Culture, sustainability and people are as vital to us as service delivery, and this partnership will allow us to bring those values to life. The goal is nothing less than raising the bar for the whole FM sector.”

Planning work is already underway, with the first phase of strategy development beginning in October. Rollout of the new brand identity, website and communications activity will follow across the coming months.

BrandXYZ’s appointment reflects growing demand across sectors for its model, giving clients access to sector specialist expertise in brand, digital, content and communications, delivered with the speed, integration and agility of a single partner.
