From Monday 13 October, the Koxedo sandwich will be served weekdays from 12pm to 3pm, while supplies last.

Lunchtimes at one of Glasgow’s most talked-about new restaurants are about to get even more exciting.
Sebb’s launches a new Lunch Specials series, kicking off with the long-awaited return of Koxedo, the fried chicken sandwich that became a lockdown legend.
Starting Monday October 13, the Koxedo sandwich will be available Monday to Friday from 12pm until 3pm or until sold out, with limited quantities each day.
Less than a year after opening, Sebb’s has already been recognised by the Michelin Guide, joining sister venues Ox and Finch, Ka Pao and Margo on the prestigious list.

Now, the kitchen team is turning its attention to weekday dining with a series of one-off lunch dishes that will come and go, beginning with a fan favourite.
Koxedo first appeared during lockdown when the Scoop Restaurants team launched a fried chicken pop-up out of Ox and Finch in March 2021. It quickly became a cult hit, selling out daily and drawing queues around the block, before closing as Covid restrictions tightened.

Head chef Danny Carruthers said: “Lunchtimes at Sebb’s are about to take on a new life with the launch of our Lunch Specials.
“These will be one-off dishes that come and go, and we thought there was no better way to begin than with the return of Koxedo. It is here for a limited time only, a flash in the pan just like it was the first time round, so get it while you can.
“We will make a set number each day, it is not available for pre-order, and with our Lunch Hour Guarantee it is designed to fit perfectly into a weekday. This is just the start, with more specials to follow in the months ahead.”
The Koxedo sandwich (£9.50) features buttermilk-brined deep-fried chicken thigh in a secret recipe coating, Freedom Bakery milk bun, Monterey Jack cheese, house ranch, fermented hot sauce, bread and butter pickles and shredded lettuce.
A vegetarian option with cauliflower pakora and zhoug on a Freedom Bakery bun is also available. Sebb’s regular menu and sides will continue alongside the special.
Sebb’s, whose name is an acronym of Sixty Eight Basement Bar, has quickly become one of Glasgow’s hottest destinations since opening last year. Carruthers, who began his Scoop career as a chef de partie at Ox and Finch nearly a decade ago, leads the kitchen.
His expertise in barbecue and grilling has shaped Sebb’s sharing-style menu, which draws inspiration from cuisines around the world, including Texas barbecue and Middle Eastern kebabs, all cooked over charcoal and refreshed regularly.
For Managing Director Jonathan Macdonald, the Michelin recognition marks a major milestone in a project that has taken more than five years to bring to life. He said: “As soon as Ka Pao opened in 2020, Covid hit and everything else was put on the back burner.

“Once we made the decision to push forward, it took years to design the place from scratch, making significant structural changes, and working through all of the associated paperwork that comes with it being a listed building.
“Sebb’s is really a celebration of food from across the globe, served in a way that’s fun and unfussy.
“Danny has been instrumental in shaping that. The team is everything to us, and people like him show what’s possible when you give great people room to spread their wings.”
The Lunch Specials, beginning with Koxedo, will run initially through November.
