A new Greggs store is set to open and will become one of the biggest in Birmingham and Solihull.
Located on the Stratford Road in Shirley, the Greggs will move into the unit once occupied by Early Years Schoolwear.
The new bakery chain will be next door to The Pet Centre which closed last month after 45 years in Shirley.

Work is now underway to transform the bakery from a former school uniform shop.
Ahead of the opening, hungry Shirley shoppers won’t have to look far to find a nearby store.
The new Greggs store will open on the Stratford Road, Shirley
Located at Parkgate Shopping Centre, the Shirley Greggs store has a 4.0 score on Google Reviews.
Outside of Shirley, there is another Greggs nearby, located near Hall Green Station.
Whilst the exact date of opening is unconfirmed, Greggs confirmed the bakery would be open in a matter of ‘weeks’.

A Greggs spokesperson said: “Greggs is due to open a new shop in Shirley within the next few weeks.
“We will be able to share further details closer to the opening.”
The new Greggs will be located on 407-411 Stratford Road, Shirley, B90 4AA.
