Set in the long, hot summer of 1963, the musical follows Frances ‘Baby’ Houseman, whose family holiday to Kellerman’s resort, and a fateful introduction to dancing, changes her life forever.
With sizzling romance, iconic moves, and the film’s most beloved hits, the stage version gives fans the time of their lives all over again.
The cast features Michael O’Reilly as Johnny Castle, Kira Malou as Baby, and Georgia Aspinall as Penny Johnson, alongside Jack Loy, Taryn Sudding, Daisy Steere, Danny Colligan, Colin Charles, Christian James, Mark Mckerracher, Lydia Sterling, and Mark Faith.
Witnessed by countless fans worldwide, this global phenomenon recounts the timeless tale of Baby and Johnny, two passionately independent young souls from contrasting backgrounds who unite during what becomes the most demanding and victorious summer of their existence.
A spokesperson for the production commented: “See the hit film come to life before your eyes with this fantastic, emotional and triumphant live stage show,” reports Glasgow Live.
Showcasing the beloved tracks ‘Hungry Eyes’, ‘Hey! Baby’, ‘Do You Love Me?’ and the spine-tingling ‘(I’ve Had) The Time Of My Life’, the tour will venture across the UK and Ireland next year.
Dirty Dancing, The Classic Story On Stage first burst onto the scene at London’s Aldwych Theatre back in 2006 with a phenomenal £15 million advance booking, smashing records as the fastest-selling production in West End history.
