A woman is fighting for her life after she was struck by a car in Liverpool city centre. Emergency services were called to reports of a crash involving a female pedestrian and a Toyota Prius at the junction of James Street and Castle Street at around 9.30pm last night, October 7.
The woman, aged in her 20s, was taken to hospital where she is currently in a “critical condition“. The driver of the car stopped at the scene and enquiries are ongoing, police said.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: “A female pedestrian was taken to hospital following a road traffic collision in Liverpool city centre last night, Tuesday, October 7.
“We were contacted following reports the woman, who is in her 20s, was in collision with a Toyota Prius at the junction of James Street and Castle Street at around 9.30pm.

“The woman was taken to hospital where she is currently in a critical condition.”
