Sheffield Wednesday are being linked with a move for Casa Pia attacker Jeremy Livolant along with Stoke City, as per a report by A Bola.

Sheffield Wednesday have been credited with an interest in the winger along with fellow Championship side Stoke City. SWFC are currently unable to spend transfer fees though.

Livolant, 27, made the move to Casa Pia back in 2024 and is under contract with the Portuguese club until June 2027. He has made 37 appearances in all competitions for them to date and has chipped in with eight goals and eight assists.

According to A Bola, he is on the radar of the Owls ahead of the January window. However, they face competition from the Potters.

Henrik Pedersen’s side have endured a tough start to the new season. They are in the drop zone along with rivals Sheffield United and Oxford United.

Sheffield Wednesday have won one of their first nine fixtures and have six points on the board. They are one point from safety behind Blackburn Rovers in 21st.

The South Yorkshire outfit were beaten 5-0 at home by in-form Coventry City last time out before the international break. They weren’t able to lay a glove on the high flying Sky Blues.

Sheffield Wednesday could see Livolant as a target for the future once their embargoes are lifted. SWFC could miss the boat though if Stoke City swoop in first.

The Owls are in desperate need of a new takeover. Their squad lacks quality and depth and they are at serious risk of dropping back down into League One.

Livolant rose up through the academy at EA Guingamp and was a regular for them at various different youth levels before breaking into their first-team. He was also loaned out to Boulogne, LB Châteauroux and Sochaux in his early career to get some experience under his belt.

The France youth international was snapped up by Bordeaux in 2023 and spent a year there before switching to Casa Pia just over 12 months ago. His situation in Lisbon is now up in the air though amid reported attention from England.

What now for Sheffield Wednesday?

Sheffield Wednesday have to put their recruitment plans on ice whilst their off-field issues are dealt with. SWFC fans will be dreaming of new owners and fresh additions down the line.

The Owls are back in action on Saturday 18th October as they look to start picking up some more points. They face Charlton Athletic at The Valley.

Their upcoming opponents were promoted from League One last term. The Addicks went up with Birmingham City and Wrexham.
