Josh Hazlewood took four wickets in Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s 11-run win over Rajasthan Royals. It was RCB’s first victory out of four matches at home, and the Bengaluru-based franchise reached third in the standings with 12 points from 9 matches. Chasing 206 runs, Rajasthan were in the game for most of the second innings, but the flurry of wickets restricted them to 194/9. Australian pacer was named the Player of the Match for dismissing Yashasvi Jaiswal, Dhruv Jurel, Shimron Hetmyer, and Jofra Archer.

He spoke to Murali Kartik during the post-match presentation ceremony. “Sticking to my strengths was important. I mixed up my deliveries and bowled slow balls, hard length, and yorkers. It was not easy to hit if you executed your deliveries well,” Josh Hazlewood said.

He also revealed the reason behind his success in T20 cricket. “It is because of the range of people and range of teams. Playing for the Chennai Super Kings, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, and Australia has helped me become a better bowler. I took information from different people and executed it during matches,” he added.

Josh shed light on his partnership with fellow pacer Yash Dayal. “I like sharing information with Yash Dayal. We talk to each other during matches. The bounce has been steep over here in Bengaluru and we thought 205 was above par but you can never be sure about the Chinnaswamy wicket,” he concluded.
