Huddersfield Giants have announced the signing of Manly Sea Eagles forward Chris Patolo as they continue preparations for the 2026 campaign.
Patolo has joined the Giants on a two-year deal and that ensures he will be with the club until the end of the 2027 Super League season.
The 24-year-old failed to make a senior appearance for Manly this season with his game time coming exclusively in the New South Wales Cup, where he made 20 appearances and scored one try.
However, prior to joining up with the Sea Eagles, the front rower spent four seasons in the first-team picture at Canterbury Bulldogs. He made 27 NRL outings for the club, of which six were starts.
Patolo becomes Huddersfield’s second addition to their pack for 2026 with the Giants announcing the signing of Mathieu Cozza from Wakefield Trinity on Wednesday. He’ll join up with his new teammates for pre-season next month as Luke Robinson prepares for his second season in charge at the Accu Stadium.
Chris Patolo on joining Huddersfield Giants
“I’m grateful for the opportunity to join Huddersfield and really excited to make the move over to the Super League,” Patolo told the club after joining. “The challenge excites me, and I’m ready to connect with the community and play in front of the Huddersfield fans.
“I can’t wait to meet the boys and rip in to pre-season, it’s a new environment for me and one I’m keen to get stuck into.”
Head coach Robinson added: “We’re unbelievably excited to get Chris on board, at 24 he’s still got loads of development left in him, he’s learnt a lot in his early years within the NRL, he can get us on the front foot and win the ruck for us.
“He’s got great leg speed, and is a strong middle which is exactly what we’re looking for, he moves extremely well for a big man, he’s also good in defence and can put a great shot in.”
