The royal sisters-in-law, Catherine, Princess of Wales, and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, were out and about for their social duties, both rocking power suits, but styled very differently.

Catherine, better known as Kate Middleton, embraced autumn elegance in an olive suit by British designer Victoria Beckham. The look was sharp and refined, featuring a double-breasted blazer with crisp lapels and a longer cut, paired with slightly flared high-waisted trousers and a fine-knit sweater in a matching earthy tone. She completed the outfit with pointed leather pumps for her visit to Home-Start in Oxford, England, where she promoted her foundation’s latest project, the Centre for Early Childhood’s new cartoon film series. The initiative aims to help families nurture social and emotional skills in young children. She accessorised it with a gold pendant and matching earrings. Staying true to her sustainable style streak, the Princess had previously worn the same suit in May, then pairing it with a ruffled white blouse for a softer, more romantic feel.

Across the Atlantic, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry stepped out for the World Mental Health Day Gala in Tribeca, Manhattan, New York. Fresh from her appearance at the Balenciaga show during Paris Fashion Week, Meghan delivered another flawless fashion moment in a sharply tailored black Armani suit. The plunging blazer and slim-fit trousers were pure modern minimalism. It’s what Meghan has been serving when it comes to fashion. Her hair was pulled back into a ponytail, while a statement double-chain necklace by Anine Bing and sparkling diamond studs were the jewellery pieces that she wore.
