A Qatar Airways flight from Edinburgh was forced to make a diversion mid-air due to a problem with the onboard fridges.
Flight QR030 left the capital for Doha shortly after 3pm on Thursday, October 9, before it had to be sent to London Heathrow.
As reported by Edinburgh Live, it comes after a technical issue regarding the on-board chillers was noticed.
The aircraft landed in London to uplift catering before heading to the Qatar capital.
It’s currently unclear what the issue was but the airline have since said that the security and safety of their passengers is their “highest priority”.
It’s understood passengers witnessed crew load food onto the flight before departing from Heathrow.
A Qatar Airways spokesperson: “Qatar Airways confirms that flight QR030 from Edinburgh to Doha diverted to London Heathrow on October 9 due to a technical issue relating to the on-board chillers.
“The aircraft made the diversion in order to uplift catering for its onward journey to Doha. The safety and security of our passengers and crew are our highest priority.”
