Several injured after shooting incident in Giessen

Several people were injured Saturday after a person opened fire at a market place in a town in central Germany, according to local media reports.

The town, Giessen, is located in the state of Hesse, with the state public broadcaster reporting that the perpetrator was still on the run.

Police have cordoned off the market square and there was no danger to the public, according to Hessenschau.
