Ford dealership near Glasgow ‘ceased trading’

Ford Kirkintilloch in East Dunbartonshire, run by Evans Halshaw, has shut its doors.

A statement on the Evans Halshaw website confirmed the closure. It read: “The following dealerships ceased trading in October 2025 –

• Ford Kirkintilloch – your closest Evans Halshaw dealership is now Ford Glasgow.
• Ford Batley – your closet Evans Halshaw dealership is now Vauxhall Wakefield.”

Meanwhile, a picture on social media showed that a notice had been installed on the dealership’s doors confirming its closure.

It said: “Customer notice – Evans Halshaw Ford Kirkintilloch.

“Please note, it is with regret that we have made the decision to close our Ford Dealership here in Kirkintilloch from October 11 onwards.

“We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.”
