The Brendan Rodgers leak at Celtic certainly took a turn this week after the board meeting with fans on Tuesday.
The Brendan Rodgers Celtic leak made huge headlines after a story broke in The Scottish Club claiming someone ‘senior’ at the club believes the Hoops gaffer is a divisive figure and was trying to work his Parkhead exit.
The story created widespread anger amongst the Celtic fans, pundits and former players as everyone connected to the club, apart from the board, condemned the story.
Celtic CEO Michael Nicholson’s response when quizzed about investigating the leak astonished supporters and also caused fresh outrage.
And now, after Roger Hannah defended his story about the Celtic manager, former Parkhead midfielder Peter Grant has told Nicholson exactly why he believes the story about Rodgers.

The Celtic manager has had to put up with this story rumbling on for weeks now and Nicholson’s comments have only caused further unrest at the club.
And now, Grant has told Celtic exactly why there is a leak at the club as he tells the board how he knows the journalists who wrote the story.
Grant said on The Go Radio Football Show [1h 1m], “I’ve been about Celtic Park and Scottish football for a long, long time. You know, that was the worry for me.
“Because if they’re getting a story, they’re not going to go out there with just somebody throwing something, a line out there.
Cooney: “It was Roger Hannah, wasn’t it?”
Grant: “Yeah, and Bill Leckie was one of them. So these are senior guys, you know, been in the game a long time.
“And I’d be surprised, as I say, at that particular time, if they’ve not been briefed by someone. And because I know these guys. These guys wouldn’t have just put that story out there.
“If it’s a young guy trying to get a name for himself, yes, you can understand it. But when it’s two senior guys putting their neck on the line, I think there’s definitely no smoke without fire there.”
What Michael Nicholson said about the Celtic leak
Nicholson has not come off well after the meeting with the Celtic Fans Collective this week. The CEO has only caused further anger with his comments on the Brendan Rodgers leak.
When asked about it by fans, Nicholson said at the meeting, “The allegation of a senior Club official briefing against the Manager to The Sun was described as “closed” by Michael Nicholson.
“The Club was unwilling to divulge much information although claimed a conversation took place between the Board and the Manager.
“The Club suggested that the allegation was unsubstantiated and did not require further investigation.”
Quite an incredible admission considering Celtic have not challenged The Scottish Sun on the story. Oh, who to believe.
