Rachel Ferrington, from Hay-on-Wye, will be the first woman to represent Team GB in the event, which takes place later this month.

She will compete alongside Glen Penlington from Knighton and Rowan Luxton from Llandrindod Wells, both of whom have secured their spots in the six-strong British team.

The championship will be held at the Allianz Cloud Arena in Milan on October 24 and 25.

The team will face off against the world’s best in the sport’s elite team competition.

The event features four demanding disciplines: the Stock Saw, Underhand Chop, Single Buck, and Standing Block Chop, all in a fast-paced relay format.

Rachel’s selection follows a record-breaking season on the British stage.
