A woman has been charged after allegedly shouting abusive comments towards people at a pro-Palestine protest in Glasgow at the weekend.
Hundreds of people gathered on Buchanan Street for a national demonstration organised by the Gaza Genocide Emergency Committee Scotland, following a march from Glasgow Green on Saturday, October 11.
Protesters were dressed in mourning clothes and were pushing empty prams to symbolise the thousands of children who have been killed in the conflict in Gaza.
High-profile speakers were also in attendance, including Husam Zomlot, the Palestinian ambassador to the UK, as well as MSP Patrick Harvie of the Scottish Greens, and Scottish members of the Global Sumud Flotilla who had arrived back home this week after being detained by Israel while on a Gaza aid mission trip.
The protest came a day after a ceasefire began between Israel and Hamas.
Police Scotland has confirmed that a 28-year-old woman was charged in connection with alleged threatening and abusive behaviour towards those taking part.
