BBC Line of Duty star Vicky McClure delighted staff with her visit to the popular cafe in the southside of Glasgow.

A Line of Duty star has been spotted filming in a popular Glasgow cafe this week, leaving staff delighted by her visit.

Vicky McClure, best known for her role of DI Kate Fleming in the hit BBC police detective series, was snapped filming with her husband Jonny Owen at Langside Cafe in the southside of Glasgow.

It’s not been revealed what the couple are shooting but the cafe was chosen as the filming location for their unknown project this week on Tuesday October 7.

Staff members posed for snaps with Vicky as they took to Instagram to announce their exciting news.

The Langside team shared a photo of the BBC actress beaming beside two waitresses as they wrote: “Not a normal working day today, but a lovely day of filming with Vicky McLure and her husband Jonny Owen.”

“The entire crew were just lovely and an absolute joy.”

Fans were thrilled to hear the couple were in the city as they raced to the comment section.

One wrote: “Line of duty royalty. Best cafe in Glasgow.”

A second commented: “More filming? How banging is that?”

Vicky has already been filming season four of the ITV drama Trigger Point throughout September, although it’s not known what the shoot with her husband was for.

The popular TV series Trigger Point follows the life of an Afghan war veteran, played by McClure.

As well as Line of Duty, McClure has also starred in This Is England and the new teenage spy show Alex Rider.

Vicky and her husband Owen were in a relationship for eight years before they tied the knot in 2023.

The pair work together on their production company, Build Your Own Films.

They also run the fun daytime disco event Day Fever, which brings people together for a unique clubbing experience.
