It seems like Daniel Farke can’t keep everyone happy at Leeds United despite promotion.

Farke has created a unity and mentality within the Leeds squad that has stuck throughout the season.

Jayden Bogle has said Farke’s mentality is ‘massive’, proving why the 49ers should keep hold of the German in the Premier League.

The jury is still out on whether this will happen, but the Leeds dressing room favours Farke staying.

However, there might be one name within the group which stands alone on the Whites boss exiting.

Most transfers in the summer have turned out to be a great success for Leeds, but not all have flourished at Elland Road.

Out of the five permanent signings, it’s clear not every player has hit the ground running as Isaac Schmidt hasn’t exactly had too many games to show his worth.

Leeds United’s permanent summer signings’ average rating in Championship Ao Tanaka 7.40 – 41 games Jayden Bogle 7.31 – 42 games Joe Rodon 7.24 – 44 games Largie Ramazani 6.57 – 27 games Isaac Schmidt 6.26 – 12 games

Junior Firpo has been preferred on many occasions to the full-back who was signed for £4.6m from St. Gallen.

MORE LEEDS UNITED STORIES

Leeds fans say Schmidt deserves more but Farke just hasn’t incorporated the 25-year-old into his plans.

Now this has lead the Swiss defender to really question his future and has sent a threat to Farke.

The print edition of Blick (25/04/25) state there are ‘numerous interested parties’ in Schmidt as he could move on in the upcoming window.

The player has made it clear he’ll do ‘anything’ to represent Switzerland again, and the report states ‘even if that means he has to change clubs’ in a warning to the Whites boss.

Schmidt should get his chance at Leeds next season

You can’t really blame the defender for leaving this summer if it comes to it.

Farke has been stubborn in constantly playing Firpo at left-back, but he might even be leaving himself.

Firpo is ‘unlikely’ to stay at Leeds which brings more concern to Schmidt why he hasn’t been starting.

His numbers in the Championship aren’t much to go off, but it’s harsh to judge him after minimal game time as he has only conjured up 71 minutes in the division.

However, with Firpo leaving this could present a new opportunity for the Swiss, who has still shown strong signs for Leeds this campaign.

Isaac Schmidt’s last 90 minutes in Leeds 0-2 Millwall (FA Cup) Passing accuracy % 83% Chances created 1 Tackles won % 50% Recoveries 8 Aerial duels won 2/2 (100%)

This should be enough for Farke to consider Schmidt but after really poor man management with his game time, it might be too late.

Schmidt’s threat should raise alarm bells for Farke, and what better way to include the full-back in the final two games of the season now promotion is secured.
