Five players from Hull FC and Hull KR featured.
Zak Hardaker is Hull FC’s triple Player of the Year.
The top ten places for the 2025 Steve Prescott Man of Steel have been confirmed – including three Hull FC players and two from Hull KR.
Leeds Rhinos maverick Jake Connor claimed the Man of Steel award at last week’s Rugby League Awards night, with Robins star Mikey Lewis and Wigan Warriors speedster Jai Field also nominated as the full top three.
But the top ten has now been revealed by Love Rugby League, with sources confirming to Hull Live that three Black and Whites – Herman Ese’ese, Aidan Sezer, and Zak Hardaker – are all included.
At the time the Man of Steel leaderboard went into the dark, Ese’ese and Sezer were among the top five ranked players, with the duo finishing sixth and seventh. Ese’ese, who had a superb season before rupturing his Achilles with three rounds to go, is the only out-and-out forward in the top ten.
Meanwhile, Hardaker finished tenth after a strong season where he won the club’s Player, Players, and Supporters Player of the Year awards. He featured across the Hull lineup, including the full-back, centre, half-back, and back-row positions. Sezer also had a strong year captaining a resurgent Hull side.
Elsewhere, Leeds full-back Lachie Miller finished fourth, while Leigh half-back Lachlan Lam finished fifth. Former winner and Wigan star Bevan French finished eighth, with another Robin, Arthur Mourgue, finishing in ninth spot. The Frenchman had a strong year after moving from Catalans Dragons mid-season.
