Leeds United are already making plans for the January transfer window with Jack Harrison’s long-term future coming under scrutiny in recent weeks.
Harrison returned to Leeds during the summer after two years on loan at Everton, but has so far struggled to make his mark on Daniel Farke‘s side.
The 28-year-old has made seven appearances so far this season, but his only start came during their Carabao Cup defeat to Sheffield Wednesday in August.
As a result, there is a growing feeling that he could be allowed to leave the club in the January transfer window with Leeds preparing to entertain offers.
This comes after Football Insider exclusively revealed last month that Leeds want to sign a new winger in the January window, potentially forcing Harrison out.

Leeds were open to selling Harrison in the summer, but only planned to do so if they could land a replacement rather than losing a valuable squad player.
As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, that will remain the case in January, with Harrison’s exit likely to depend on whether an immediate replacement can be found when the January window opens.

Farke is not interested in weakening his side, even by losing squad players, and will only sanction sales mid-way through the season if they are replaced adequately.
Speaking on the Inside Track podcast, I explained: “Yeah, it’s a surprise that he’s back at Leeds United really, having had those two loan spells away from Elland Road.
“Look, for Leeds right now, they’re probably looking to strengthen the squad rather than weaken it.
“Harrison, he’s under contract until 2028 as well. Unless there’s a good offer that did come in for him, I’m not sure Leeds would entertain it.

“A lot will depend on what Leeds are able to do in the transfer window themselves if they’re able to bring in attacking reinforcements then maybe that could open the door for a move to Jack Harrison.
“But I don’t think there’s sort of in the making for a potential move away from Harrison right now.
“He will continue to be a part of Farke’s plans and he’ll be hoping that he can break into it and get more game time in the coming weeks up until January window at least.”
Noah Okafor arrived at Leeds during the summer, pushing Harrison further down the pecking order and raising further questions about his place in the side.
Harrison rebuilding bridges at Leeds United
Football Insider revealed in July that Harrison was likely to leave Leeds, having burned his bridges at the club when he left following their relegation.
The supporters at Elland Road were far from happy with his decision, alongside a number of his big-name teammates who also quit when the club was in a bad position.
After returning to Leeds, it became clear that he needed to rebuild those relationships and regain the trust of the supporters, with works still to be done in that area.

While a departure from Elland Road remains a possibility ahead of the January window, with Leeds aiming to improve out wide, he has been backed to stay.
Harrison is believed to be keen to work his way back into the plans and take his chances when they come, causing more confusion over his future.
