A suspect was taken into custody after police responded to reports of a man wielding a plank of wood and making threats in Solihull.
Police arrested a man on suspicion of making threats with an offensive weapon in Smiths Wood on Thursday, October 17.
Officers had responded to reports of a man wielding a plank of wood and making threats in the area.

The suspect was interviewed in police custody.
He has since been released on bail with strict conditions.
‘Smith’s Wood, Kingshurst and Castle Bromwich Police’ reported the incident on its X page.
It said: “Today we arrested a male for making threats with an offensive weapon after we quickly responded to a male wielding a plank of wood in Smiths Wood.

“We interviewed him and he’s now bailed with strict conditions ahead of us seeking Crown Prosecution Service advice.”
“In law, an offensive weapon can be something made for the purpose of causing injury, like a knuckle duster.
“Something adapted for this purpose, like a specially broken bottle, or any item that has been possessed with this intention.”
