(WLUK) — Wolf River sturgeon spawning has mostly wrapped up in Shiocton and New London, while it continues in Shawano.
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources says only a few fish could be seen at Bamboo Bend in Shiocton on Friday, while the sturgeon had left the New London Sturgeon Trail.
At the Shawano Dam, the DNR says sturgeon are expected to continue to be visible through the weekend.

On the upper Fox River, sturgeon could still be seen at the Princeton Dam. On the lower Fox River, sturgeon appeared to be preparing to spawn in the Voyageur Park area, but no active spawning was reported on Friday.
Sturgeon could also be seen on the Peshtigo River from the viewing platform near the Peshtigo Dam, with more fish staging below the dam.
