We booked it mainly to shorten our commute the next morning, but it ended up feeling like a proper treat – a blend of convenience and understated luxury right in the heart of London.

From the moment we checked in, the experience felt smooth and stylish.

The lobby has that sleek, modern London vibe with polished marble, soft lighting and friendly staff who made everything effortless.

Our room was surprisingly spacious for central London, with huge windows offering an incredible skyline view.

Seeing the Gherkin, the Walkie Talkie building, and even The Shard glowing against the night sky was a reminder of just how close we were to the city’s pulse.

It felt indulgent to wake up to that panorama instead of the usual rush-hour chaos.

Dinner at The Cardinal Bar and Kitchen, located within the hotel, was a highlight.

We started with the buffalo cauliflower, which had the perfect balance of heat and crunch, and the salmon tataki, delicately seared and beautifully presented with avocado.

For mains, my boyfriend went for the salmon ramen – rich, comforting, and fragrant without being heavy – while I had the quinoa salad with the addition of salmon too, which was fresh, vibrant, and packed with flavour.

The dishes felt thoughtful and well-executed, not the typical “hotel restaurant” fare.

Service was attentive without being intrusive, and the setting had an easy sophistication – ideal for winding down after a long workday.

Later, we enjoyed a quiet drink at the bar, which had a warm, relaxed atmosphere and a great cocktail list. It felt like we’d found a little urban sanctuary.

The next morning, we lingered over coffee by the window, watching the city wake up beneath us. If your rate includes breakfast you can either have this back in the restaurant or ordered to your room.

Even though it was foggy, the views were still unbeatable.

It was hard to believe we were only a few Tube stops from our offices — it felt worlds away.

Overall, Hotel Saint delivered exactly what we needed: comfort, convenience, and a touch of luxury in one of London’s most dynamic neighbourhoods.
