Welsh actor Ioan Gruffudd has married 32-year-old Australian actress Bianca Wallace in an intimate ceremony with breathtaking views. The couple shared the news with a romantic video on Instagram.

Ioan, 51, and Bianca, 32, have been together since 2021 and announced their engagement at the start of 2024 in an Instagram post where the Australian showed off a stunning emerald and diamond engagement ring. The Aberdare-born star was previously married to Alice Evans and the pair went through a very public divorce.

Alice and Ioan married in 2007 and were together for 14 years, sharing two daughters, Ella and Elsie. For the latest TV and showbiz gossip sign up to our newsletter.

After their marriage fell apart the Welsh actor was granted a restraining order against his ex-wife after being inundated with messages from her and being the subject of “disparaging” social media posts.

In the stunning wedding video Bianca wore a silk white slip dress with a low v-neck, holding bright pink roses whilst Ioan looked smart in a black suit.

The video showed them saying their vows in front of a sole registrant and celebrating with a glass of champagne as the sun set over the coast. Martin Arteta’s Past Lives accompanied the video.

Bianca captioned the joint post: “Mr & Mrs Gruffudd. Marriage now, wedding later.”

Bianca, an Australian actress and producer, previously said the couple had been through “more than most” in their short time together. In 2022, she announced she had multiple sclerosis.

The couple seemingly split their time together between Australia and California, with occasional trips to the UK.

Ioan’s acting career began when he starred in Welsh television film Austin at 13 years old, going on to take up a role in the Welsh language soap opera, Pobol y Cwm which he held for seven years.

Since his child fame, Ioan has played a number of roles including Harold Lowe in the famous 1997 Titanic film and Lancelot in King Arthur.

More recently his roles have included playing respected surgeon Andrew Earlham in ITV’s Liar and Dr Daniel Harrow in hit Australian TV show, Harrow.
