Liverpool content creator Kian Ferguson is in the running for social media reality show Foot Asylum: Locked In. The competition sees ten creators “locked in” a house for 14 days to compete in challenges to win a prize of £10,000. The 20-year-old TikToker from Belle Vale is keen to earn his place on the show to show our city in the best possible light.

Locked In is a social media-based series. It features influencers and content creators competing in a series of challenges to showcase their personalities and earn audience votes. It is broadcast on Footasylum’s YouTube channel.

Several popular content creators have appeared on the show in the past, including GK Barry. She has gone on to land a successful career in showbiz since her participation in the show.

Last year, she took part in hit ITV reality show I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here. It was a star-studded cast, and Grace was a hit with fans for her adorable friendship with Reverend Richard Coles. She finished in fifth place, as McFly’s Danny Jones went on to take the title of King of the Jungle.

Kian Ferguson, 20, from Belle Vale is hoping to follow in the footsteps of some of the most successful content creators in the industry.

He started posting daily videos on TikTok, and has now racked up an impressive 75,000 followers. He shared a video onto his account, hoping to get noticed by Foot Asylum creators with the chance to go on the reality show “Locked In”.

Kian was lucky enough to be invited to London for auditions along with 50 other creators. When he got the call, he said he was “shaking”.

He told the ECHO: “I couldn’t believe it. I ran downstairs to tell my mum. Then I called my friends and it’s so nice to see them proud of me.”

Kian, who goes by “K Dog” on social media, took part in a tense audition process in London in front of a panel of creators, including Manchester-based rapper and social media star Michael Taylor, who goes by the name of “Tays”.

It has now been rattled down to the final few, and Kian now needs Liverpool to “get behind him” to secure his place on the show.

Speaking about his ambitions, Kian told the ECHO he was inspired by other content creators growing up and wants to make a space for more people from Merseyside to succeed in the industry.

He believes his Scouse humour and bubbly personality will help him do well on the show.

He added: “I feel like our humour is hilarious and we’re naturally ourselves, we don’t have to try and be anything else to be funny. We’re straight up and we’ll tell you how it is.”

After being diagnosed with ADHD, Kian wants to prove to himself he can put himself through challenging situations.

He told the ECHO: “I have ADHD and traits of autism but I don’t let that slow me down or stop me. I want to prove to people if I can do it, you can do it too.”

He said: “Foot Asylum: Locked In is the biggest opportunity I’ll ever get and I just want to put my city on the map and show people how good a city Liverpool is.”

He told the ECHO: “I’m just a kid from Belle Vale. I need the city to get behind me and get on the app and vote for me. Liverpool is a city that sticks together and if people vote, I can get some exposure and inspire other people like me.”

Voting opens on Sunday, October 19 and you can vote for Kian on the Foot Asylum app. Locked In will be available to watch on YouTube. More information is available here.
