Manchester United goalkeeper Senne Lammens kept up his 100 per cent start for the club.
When Senne Lammens made his Manchester United debut against Sunderland, there was cautious optimism after an impressive performance. With a game away at Liverpool on the horizon, it was sensible not to get too carried away.
Lammens has now passed the Anfield test, helping Manchester United to a 2-1 victory, the club’s first away win at Liverpool since 2016.

The Belgian goalkeeper showed no fear at all, along with the rest of his teammates who were all determined to get the win.
Lammens made five saves, facing an xG of 2.33 goals, and even made two high claims as he showed a willingness to come out and control his box.

There is high interest in Senne Lammens in his native Belgium, following his deadline day move from Royal Antwerp.
Lammens was called into the Belgium international squad recently too, although he is yet to make his debut.
The goalkeeper’s big performance for Manchester United at Anfield has made his nation proud, with a positive reaction in his country’s media.
Belgian outlet VoetbalPrimeur reported: “Senne Lammens’s first away match with Manchester United proved a real test of strength. At Anfield, the Belgian goalkeeper held his own against Liverpool.”
HLN focused on Lammens’ crucial first half save, noting: “In the 35th minute, he kept Isak from leveling the score with a powerful leg sweep, in what is now considered his finest moment.”
Sporza also focused in on his save from Isak, reporting: “Senne Lammens remains unbeaten with Manchester United. Playing against arch-rivals Liverpool, the Belgian pulled off a crucial save to keep his team in the game.”
The Nieuwsblad newspaper noted that the goalkeeper had a little help from the woodwork, commenting: “Lammens seemed to have a guardian angel on his crossbar.”
VoetbalKrant added that while Lammens was beaten in the end, there was little he could do to prevent the goal itself.
“Lammens conceded his first goal as Manchester United’s goalkeeper. Gakpo slammed the ball into the back of the net, though our compatriot could do little to stop it.
“6 points from 6 for Lammens at United… Ruben Amorim will be happy with that.”
Senne Lammens gives Manchester United some assurance
Manchester United’s biggest flaw this season until the Sunderland game was the goalkeeper position.
Altay Bayindir was largely to blame for the opening defeat to Arsenal, and he was completely hopeless in the loss at Brentford.
Andre Onana was a disaster in his only appearance, away at Grimsby Town in the Carabao Cup.
This prompted United to go and buy Senne Lammens, but Ruben Amorim was too tentative to throw him straight into action.
Perhaps the Lammens we are seeing now is a direct benefit of the break and slow adjustment to life in England.
But if that was really necessary, United should have struck the deal at the start of June.
