Around 5.40pm, offficers were made aware of a car driving dangerously on Provan Road.

Upon attending the scene, a silver Peugeot 207 was driven at the officers on Cumbernauld Road. No injuries were reported.

After a short pursuit, the car was stopped on Birkenshaw Street after crashing.

A 22-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident and is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday.

Now, Police Scotland has launched an appeal for information.

Constable Rose Richmond said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident and hasn’t already spoken to officers to contact us.

“The area was busy at the time and I would also ask anyone who has mobile phone footage or dash cam footage which could assist to get in touch.”
