Police are appealing for people with information to come forward

A man suffered serious facial injuries after being hit by a van. Emergency services were called to the junction of Hawthorne Road and Linacre Lane in Bootle at around 5.50am on Friday, October 3 following reports of a crash involving a van and cyclist.
The cyclist, a man aged in his 30s, was taken to hospital after suffering serious facial injuries, including a broken nose and fractured cheek bone. The driver stopped at the scene, however police said enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of what happened.
CCTV and and house-to-house enquiries have been carried out, Merseyside Police said and officers are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed what happened to get in touch.
