The National Theatre has announced that Inter Alia starring Rosamund Pike is transferring into the West End.
Inter Alia will play at the Wyndham’s Theatre in London from 19 March to 20 June 2026.
Inter Alia is the latest drama by award-winning playwright Suzie Miller (Prima Facie), who has reunited with the director of Prima Facie, Justin Martin, for the production.
The West End run will see Academy Award nominee Rosamund Pike (Saltburn, Gone Girl, I Care A Lot) reprise her role as Jessica Parks, alongside Jamie Glover (Waterloo Road) as her husband Michael Wheatley.
The role of Harry is to be confirmed. It was played at the National by rising star Jasper Talbot (Redlands), who is about to star in the Almeida’s new production of The Line of Beauty.
Further casting is to be announced.
Inter Alia delves into modern masculinity and motherhood, blending razor-sharp drama with emotional depth. The production opened at the National Theatre in July, scoring some great reviews from the critics.
The show also streamed live into cinemas on 4 September 2025.
Inter Alia follows Jessica Parks (Rosamund Pike), a fiercely intelligent and compassionate London Crown Court Judge juggling her demanding career with her family life. When an unexpected event threatens to upend her carefully balanced world, Jessica must confront both systemic and personal challenges to keep her life from unraveling.
Joining Justin Martin in the creative team are set and costume designer Miriam Buether, lighting designer Natasha Chivers, movement and intimacy director Lucy Hind, sound designers Ben and Max Ringham, video designer Willie Williams for Treatment Studio, composers Erin LeCount and James Jacob, musical director Nick Pinchbeck, casting directors Alastair Coomer CDG and Naomi Downham and voice coach William Conacher.
What They Said
Writer Suzie Miller said in a statement: “I am so thrilled that my new play Inter Alia, commissioned and produced by the National Theatre, is transferring to the West End. Rosamund Pike is a magnificent talent and soars in the role of Crown Court Judge and mother Jessica Parks, and her co-star Jamie Glover is nothing short of extraordinary. My long-term creative partners, Justin Martin and Miriam Buether, along with the entire design team have created something sublime that is a true theatre collaboration. The conversations I’m having with audiences are humbling, exciting and game-changing – I am excited for that to continue.”
Director Justin Martin said: “Rosamund Pike is extraordinary, and Suzie Miller is sublime. Witnessing the intersection of these two amazing artists has been a highlight of my career. And then to add Jamie Glover. I’m so excited to be able to share our show with a wider audience.”
Executive Director and Co-Chief Executive of the National Theatre, Kate Varah, said: “Suzie Miller’s timely urgent play, boldly and empathically directed by Justin Martin and brought to life by Rosamund Pike and Jamie Glover’s incredible performances, is the play for today. It resonates deeply with audiences, and we’re thrilled that more will now be able to experience its power. Inter Alia beautifully and humanely weaves together themes of contemporary masculinity and motherhood and puts a spotlight on the complex dynamics of the justice system. Working with Playful Productions to make this West End transfer possible has been a joy – we all believe so passionately in the value and necessity of this play, this production, this extraordinary company.”
