Absolum, the fantastic beat-’em-up that launched on PS5 earlier this month, has smashed through 200,000 sales.
That’s according to publisher Dotemu, which, based on the existence of such a press release, is clearly over the moon with how the game’s performed.
This level of success is very much deserved, as far as we’re concerned. Absolum’s a deeply addictive brawler with roguelike elements, topped off with a striking art style and some banging tunes.
If you’re a fan of old school beat-’em-ups, the likes of Dragon’s Crown, or even something similar to Hades, then we’d highly recommend checking Absolum out.
We gave it a ‘great’ 8/10 in our own Absolum PS5 review.
At the time of writing, the title’s actually got rave critic reviews across all platforms, and over one thousand user reviews on Steam equate to a ‘Very Positive’ rating. It’s obviously been a hit with those who’ve played it.
Over 200,000 adventurers have set foot in Talamh.
From all of the Absolum’s team — thank you for being part of this journey! ✨To celebrate, check out our brand-new Accolades Trailer and discover what critics are saying about Absolum so far! pic.twitter.com/EL1RyDm1EV

We think there are probably more sales to come, too. As alluded, word of mouth seems to be super positive, and so we wouldn’t be at all surprised to see Absolum gain additional traction as the weeks and months tick by.

He still takes his fighting games seriously, but RPGs are his true passion. The Witcher, Persona, Dragon Quest, Mass Effect, Final Fantasy, Trails, Tales — he’s played ’em all. A little too much, some might say.
