The homebuilder is marking six years of its Home Safe initiative, which aims to improve child pedestrian safety.

In support of International Walk to School Month, which falls in October, Miller Homes is inviting families to visit six of its developments to collect high-visibility vests.

The company says the vests give parents greater confidence that their children will be seen by drivers during low-light conditions.

Since launching the scheme in 2019, Miller Homes has donated more than 9000 vests to schools and families across the west of Scotland.

Louise Caldwell, sales director for Miller Homes Scotland West, said: “Home Safe is a brilliant initiative that directly supports local nurseries and primary schools by keeping children bright and visible during the dark winter months.

“We hope that children can walk, cycle or scoot to school more safely by wearing our high-vis vests, making them visible to drivers.”

The high-vis vests can be collected from the following Miller Homes sales centres, which are open Thursday to Monday, 10.30am to 5.30pm: Constarry Gardens in Croy, Chapel Gardens in Dumbarton, Greenacres in Sauchie, Millerpark in Clydebank, Stoneyetts Village in Moodiesburn and Thornly Park in Paisley.
