Big Brother fans have thrown their support behind Richard after some tactless comments from Caroline.
It’s been another eventful night in the Big Brother house as the playful disagreement between Richard and Caroline took a turn. Gathering the housemates at the sofas, Big Brother made Caroline’s comments about Richard’s weight public.
Announcing that the rule that prohibits discussing nominations had been broken, Big Brother read a conversation Caroline, Elsa and Nancy had about Richard.

Speaking about Richard, Caroline said: “He’s put on a bit of weight and all” and added that the composer had been eating “a lot”.
Elsa was given jail time for sharing that she hadn’t nominated Richard — she picked Tate instead — while Caroline’s comments reignited the feud with Richard.

Despite Caroline trying to soften up her comments about Richard’s weight, telling him that they’d all put on weight, she made things worse when she called Richard a “skinny bloke who eats a lot”.
“You’re not offended by it, are you?” Caroline continued as Richard politely replied: “No, I’m just surprised.”
This wasn’t the first time Caroline put her foot in her mouth after she misgendered Zelah and made a joke about Nancy’s pansexuality earlier on in the season.

In the Diary Room, Richard branded Caroline a liar.
“Caroline, dear lady, you lie as easily as you breathe,” he said, adding that he’d started ignoring her.
“I just ignore it. With a smile. I do it politely, but ignore it nonetheless,” he said.
He then said: “I actually feel quite sorry for her. Because she tries so hard, she really does… She tries so hard but that actually is the problem. She tries too hard.”
Richard concluded, telling Big Brother that Caroline would do herself “a huge favour” if she “eased up a bit” as he believed she had a “soft heart”.
Later on, Richard referred to Caroline, who was offered immunity from eviction, as “Little Miss Lying Through Her Teeth Any Minute” in a conversation with Tate.
Speaking to Big Brother, Caroline disputed Richard’s “national treasure” status in the house.
“Well, national treasures, they can’t just be silent… I bet he’s a right little bastard at home,” she said.

“He must have some sort of anger,” she added, calling him a “coward” for staying silent in meetings.
She also predicted that, following her comments about his weight, Richard wouldn’t be nominated and would make it to the final.
After the latest development in the “one-sided beef” between Richard and Caroline, as fans have called it, some have called for him to make it to the top three.
“I adore richard and I hope he is in the top 3!” one fan offered on Instagram, with someone else agreeing: “That there, has just won him the show.”
“Richard is so positive, bless him! My favourite!” a third fan wrote, calling for Caroline’s eviction.
“Caroline’s [one-sided] beef with Richard is odd,” a fourth viewer noted, while another person side with Richard’s comments: “Richard calling Caroline out, as he should!”
Someone else suggested the beef conceals some potential romantic undertones from Caroline: “Plot twist: Caroline fancies Richard and doesn’t know how to deal with it”.
Finally, a viewer hoped for a reconciliation, writing: “I love them both and I need them to become friends”, with someone else adding: “Same.”
With a few more weeks to go before the big finale, there is a chance for Richard and Caroline to bury the axe. We’ll be watching.
Big Brother airs on ITV2 and ITVX from Sundays through Fridays, followed each night by Big Brother: Late & Live.
